Paint Shop

At Lallows we have a dedicated team of painters that do all kinds of paint jobs in and out side of the yard from striping antifouling to interior and exterior varnish/paint work, topside's, superstructure and painting of masts and spars, antifouling and sign writing. We also specialise in osmosis treatment we are the only company on the island that has a gel peeler so we can do a complete osmosis treatment from start to finish to an affected boat without having to get a contractor in. 

We do not have the facilities to be able to spray but with today's modern products we can achieve as good a finish if not better by applying the paint by hand by using a roller and a brush and by excellent preparation and using the right amount of thinners in the paint the paint flows out and you get a mirror finish with no brush marks or the orange peel affect you can sometimes get from spraying. Our customers cannot believe how we achieve such a high quality finish by hand.

At Lallows we mainly paint using Awl grip or International.

Rigging

From our rigging loft  we offer a wide range of services including furling systems Rod Rigging, Swaging, Wire Hand Splicing, Rope Splicing, Talurit Splicing, mast dressing and stepping and unstepping we are also deal in supplying Harken, Spinlock and Lewmar yacht equipment. Our riggers also run our 7 slip ways including a big slip which can take vessels and barges up to 100 tons, because of our slipway facilities we also offer a very competitive scrubbing service. We also have a cherry picker on the end of our fuel jetty which we use for repair work on masts without the need to be hoisted up the mast in a chair or worst case having to remove the mast to do certain jobs..

Welding & Fabrication

Here at Lallows  we can custom fabricate Pushpits, Pullpits, Handrails stem head fittings, mast rings, tanks, etc all types of marine hardware from aluminium, stainless steel and steel alloys. We can produce almost any marine hardware product that can be drawn. We have built marine and boating products for a wide variety of customers. Although we specialize in the marine industry, we produce custom metal fabrication items for many customers and companies in other industries.

Boat Building and Repairs

Lallows has a long standing tradition of boat building and craftmanship by providing expert construction restoration and repair. We still uphold the proven techniques of the past whilst using the technology and materials of today. We specialise in traditional wooden boats but we do have the facilities and dedicated glass hands for all types of GRP work. All types of restoration and repair and spar work are undertaken and we would be glad to give you an estimate price if you believe there is anything we can help you with.

Engineer/ Marine Fitter

Our marine engineering department offers a wide range of services from engine services to complete engine installation specialising in Beta Marine engines. We also offer Anode, cutlass baring, tank fitting, skin fittings, bilge pump and winch servicing we can also do full gas installations.

Sail Maker

Our sail maker not only specialises in all types of sail repairs we also manufacture boat covers from spray hoods to boom covers and all types of  interior upholstery.

   Fuel Sales

Here at Lallows we have our very own fuel pontoon located at the end of our pier. At the fuel dock we have marine diesel fuel, unleaded petrol and a variety of engine oils for petrol and diesel engines, as well as outboard oil. The fuel dock can accept most debit and credit cards as well as cash.
